Council holds sewer fees flat for second consecutive year

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Council approves 2026 sewer fees with no increase for second year. The Town Council unanimously approved rates of $265 for single-family residences, $758 for commercial and industrial properties, and $168 for multi-family units, all well below established maximums. The council also approved retroactive salary agreements for Fire Department and town staff unions effective January 1 and advanced on first reading an ordinance designating 625 Westfield Avenue, built circa 1908, as a historic landmark, the 18th such designation in recent years.

A public hearing on the town's Phase 1 Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System report to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection was also held.
