Westfield Council approves $1.7M for Houlihan-Sid Fay Fields project

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield approves $1.7M bond package for Houlihan-Sid Fay improvements. The Town Council unanimously passed two bond ordinances June 9 totaling $1.742 million, with Special Ordinance 2026-02 appropriating $862,000 for parking lot expansion and restroom-multipurpose facility construction, and Special Ordinance 2026-03 appropriating $880,000 for synthetic turf athletic field replacement. The combined project brings the total investment to approximately $3.2 million at the town's largest athletic complex.
The council also approved bills and claims totaling $922,297.57 and established the 2026 estimated tax levy at $206,267,493.
