Westfield council approves fire repairs and battery equipment pilot

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Town Council approves $89K in fire department upgrades. The Council unanimously authorized $38,800 in roof repairs at Fire Headquarters and Fire Station II through Deegan Roofing, and $50,150 in interior renovations through O'Connor Construction. Additionally, the Council approved a $52,902.88 purchase of battery-powered landscaping equipment for a municipal sustainability pilot, funded through community solar proceeds and to be evaluated by the Public Works Committee this fall.
The Council also adopted bills and claims totaling $508,517.27 and nine routine resolutions.
