Board of Adjustment approves three variance applications

Board of Adjustment · Meeting of June 8, 2026

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield board of adjustment approves three variance applications. The Board unanimously approved three applications: a community residence for developmentally disabled individuals at ARC of Union County's 901 Morris Avenue property; a home addition and two-car garage for Mickael Avedissian and Amie Borges at 34 Fairhill Road; and an outdoor kitchen for Gregory Jager at 421 Birch Avenue. The board continued Daniel Wertheim's application for a second-story addition to 531 Topping Hill Road to September 28 after members raised concerns about floor area ratio overage, though architect Christopher Szymczak said the design could be revised.
