Board of Adjustment approves four residential variance applications

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Board of Adjustment approves four residential variance applications. The Board memorialized four prior resolutions from its March 9 meeting and voted on four new applications April 13: a six-foot retaining wall at 316 Orenda Circle for Craig McCarthy, second-story additions at 526 Clark Street for Joseph and Marilyn Pellicone and at 761 Belvidere Avenue for Michael Levin, and a rear porch at 546 Boulevard for Steve and Olga Chalfant. Three applications passed unanimously 7-0; the Chalfant application passed 6-1 with Vice-Chair Michael Cohen opposed.
The ARC of Union County proposal for a Community Residence for the Developmentally Disabled at 901 Morris Avenue was continued to June 8 to allow refinement of the design.
