Board approves subdivision for senior housing financing

Board of Adjustment · Meeting of June 29, 2026

NJ WESTFIELD — Board of Adjustment unanimously approves senior housing subdivision for financing on Boynton Avenue. The Board of Adjustment voted 7-0 to approve a minor subdivision of the Westfield Senior Citizens Housing Corporation properties, which separates existing Westfield Senior I and II facilities from a new lot for the proposed 31-unit Westfield III addition. The applicant's general counsel Alberto Camacho testified the subdivision would support future funding for capital improvements without adding residential units.

The board conditioned approval on perpetual easements for shared access and parking and recommended that future improvements address buffering and lighting concerns raised by neighboring residents.
