Board of Health introduces dual ordinances on inspection fees and staffing

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Board of Health advances inspection-fee and staffing ordinances. The Board unanimously approved the introduction of BOH Ordinance 1-2026, setting a $200 fee for repeat pre-operational inspections, and BOH Ordinance 2-2026, addressing personnel positions and salary ranges, moved by Dr. Lawrence Budnick and seconded by Tara Donnelly, MSN, RN, NE-BC, MBA.
The board also approved April bills totaling $20,123.14 and received updates from Health Officer Megan Avallone on three food establishment license suspensions: Westfield Station Café, suspended two days in abeyance for one year; Peking Garden, three days; and 1958 Cuban Cuisine, six days.
