Board approves variances for three residential projects

Board of Adjustment · Meeting of January 12, 2026

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield board approves three residential variances, including housing-shortage project. The Board of Adjustment approved variance relief for Melissa Paczos to construct a two-unit rental addition to 525 Downer Street, a project board member Paul Eilbacher said would contribute to "much-needed housing in Westfield." The board also approved additions for Ryan and Alyssa Treiber at 646 Coleman Place and Christopher Schimpf at 165 Tudor Oval. All three applications passed unanimously.

The board continued the application of Brant Lipari pending a drainage assessment and adjourned the ARC of Union County application for a community residence for the developmentally disabled to February 9.
