NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Recreation Commission approves 2026 Ultra race. The commission unanimously approved the 2026 Westfield Ultra at Tamaques Park scheduled for August 1, with organizers aiming to expand participation to 125 runners. Chairperson Andrew Braunstein presided as the commission reviewed ongoing capital work at the Sid Fay Houlihan Complex: new parking, bathrooms, office space, and field re-turfing, with bids prepared and ready to proceed.
Memorial Park tennis court resurfacing remains in the bidding process. Senior Programming is expanding with new offerings including Tai Chi, lunch trips, and casino bus trips, while the Senior Transportation Program continues serving eight to ten residents daily, Monday through Thursday.
