Westfield Planning Board reorganizes; Ash reelected chair

NJ WESTFIELD — Westfield Planning Board reorganizes for 2026, reelecting Michael Ash as chair and Michael La Place as vice-chair. The board swore in three new members—Mayor Jeremy Berman, Councilman Drew Pecker, and Evan Cohen—and reappointed Chief Michael Duelks, La Place, and Ann Freedman. Maria Rose Breien was reappointed as secretary and attorney Alan Trembulak, ESQ retained as board counsel.
The board established its Site Plan Review Committee and Affordable Housing Committee, and approved its 2026-2027 meeting schedule for regular Monday meetings, moved to Wednesday when holidays interfere.
